About Us

Cornerstone Kitchen + Bath was established in 2020 by Joshua and Leslie Dunegan. With more than a decade of experience in remodeling and solid surface fabrication, the vision for Cornerstone Kitchen + Bath emerged. Joshua recognized a demand for high-quality, dependable remodeling and finish carpentry services in Waco, Texas. Customers expressed their worries about the process, saying, “I don’t want to be in disarray for months,” “I need to trust the workers in my home,” and “I don’t want to deal with the mess.” In response, we created a unique system that encompasses design, product selection, and installation, all centered around our customers’ satisfaction.

Cornerstone Kitchen + Bath. – featuring an exclusive product selection, experienced craftsmen, and top-notch workmanship – offers a new and intelligent way to remodel your home!

Kitchen and bathroom remodeling are handled as separate disciplines from custom finish carpentry—because they are. A full kitchen remodel involves layout planning, material coordination, and trade sequencing. Finish carpentry—baseboards, door casing, built-ins, wainscoting, crown molding—requires a different kind of precision and eye for detail. Cornerstone Design Co. brings both capabilities in-house, so you're not piecing together separate contractors for different phases of the same project.

For bathroom work specifically, Cornerstone Design Co. holds certified acrylic installer status and backs that work with a lifetime warranty. All labor across projects carries a two-year warranty, giving you documented assurance that the work is built to last beyond installation day.

Waco sits within a region that sees real seasonal temperature variation, and that matters when selecting materials and planning installation timelines. The team's familiarity with the local environment informs product recommendations—not just aesthetics, but how materials will hold up in the conditions specific to Central Texas.

Cornerstone Design Co. serves clients within approximately 60 miles of Waco, TX, reaching across the Waco area and into the surrounding communities throughout the region.

The design-and-build model means your project doesn't get handed off between a designer and a separate contractor. Communication stays consistent, accountability stays clear, and you're not the go-between relaying information across two separate companies. When questions come up mid-project—and they always do—there's one team to call.

Expect direct communication at each stage. The over-communicate-and-verify philosophy isn't a tagline—it shows up in how estimates are presented, how material selections are confirmed before ordering, and how scope changes are discussed with you before they affect the timeline or budget.
